DURATION: 22 weeks     CONTRACT: NEC 3 Option A


  • Particularly challenging site in regard to access on the retaining wall side due to the steepness of the adjacent field
  • Failed area cleaned out and mass filled with concrete
  • Remaining stone wall was clad with mesh reinforcement and concrete
  • Rock anchors were drilled through the new concrete cladding and eventually into the bedrock. Anchors were required to be a minimum of 6m into the rock.Total length of each anchor was 12m

  • Upon completion of the anchors the whole site was reclad with local stone
  • Scaffold designed to accommodate loading
  • 300m of Armco barrier replaced with ground beam
