The project involved the construction of 7 new homes on a brownfield site in the centre of Penrith. The development consists of 4 No. 2-bedroom houses and 3 No. 1-bedroom flats with communal areas. The project was built on piled foundations, blockwork cavity wall, rendered with slate roof. The flats have concrete floors and staircase and the houses have timber floors and timber staircase. Timber trussed roof to all properties.

  • 81% of subcontractors used on the project were local to the project site, contributing to the Client’s ‘local’ theme.

  • The project achieved a Beyond Compliance score from the Considerate Constructors scheme.
  • The project was delivered with minimal disruption to neighbours, despite being a very tight site.
  • This was achieved through careful management of deliveries and plant and by continual liaison with adjacent neighbours and businesses.
