Abbey Road Active Travel, Barrow in Furness
Thomas Armstrong Construction is pleased to share that the Abbey Road Active Travel project is reaching new milestones as we move into 2026. By utilising wide existing pavements on both sides of the road, the scheme is creating dedicated lanes to keep cyclists safely separated from both road traffic and pedestrians.
Work is currently progressing well and continues to move safely along Abbey Road. Throughout this phase, our site teams are focused on maintaining high standards while ensuring that disruption to local traffic and pedestrians is kept to an absolute minimum.
By improving the local infrastructure in Barrow in Furness, this initiative will provide a safer, more accessible environment for all residents. We look forward to sharing more updates as this project moves towards completion.
