Thomas Armstrong Construction returns to Whinfell Forest for the next phase of the Center Parcs project

Thomas Armstrong Construction has returned to Whinfell Forest Holiday Village to begin the latest phase of the Autumn Lodge Refurbishment and Remodelling works for Center Parcs.

Following the successful completion of last year’s Project Autumn, work on the next phase began on 1 September 2026. The project will include the full refurbishment and remodelling of 112 holiday lodges across 13 clusters, alongside improvements to the electrical infrastructure.

The works will include the complete electrical re-wiring of the lodges, as well as upgrades to the hot and cold water plumbing systems. Extensive plastering will be carried out throughout the lodges, alongside the removal and replacement of existing bathrooms and associated tiling works.

New kitchens will also be installed, including appliances and finishes, while bedroom furniture, fixtures and fittings will be replaced. Internal decoration will be carried out throughout, including walls, ceilings, and woodwork, alongside feature wallpaper.

External works will include the construction of new patios and feature pergolas to enhance the outdoor guest areas. Alongside the lodge works, upgrades will also be made to the wider electrical infrastructure network serving the village.

The project will also include associated builders' works, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance inspections.

The successful completion of last year’s Project Autumn, alongside the strong collaborative relationship developed with Center Parcs, has been vital in progressing to this next phase of work at Whinfell Forest. The latest works will enhance the quality, functionality, and longevity of the accommodation, while supporting Center Parcs’ ongoing vision and commitment to providing premium holiday experiences for its guests.
