Delivered over an efficient 13-week period, this transformative project has breathed new life into the heart of Whitehaven, creating a more attractive, accessible, and vibrant space for residents, visitors, and local businesses.

This vital £450,000 investment, forming a key part of Whitehaven’s Public Realm Improvement Plan, was made possible through collaborative funding from Sellafield Ltd, the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, and Cumberland Council. Our team was entrusted by Cumberland Council to bring the vision, meticulously designed by Align Property Partners, to fruition.

Our work focused on a series of thoughtful upgrades designed to improve both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of these central areas. Key elements of the project included

• Historical Interpretation Boards:Developed to showcase the rich heritage of Green Market and the Market Hall, allowing visitors to connect with Whitehaven's past.
• Commemorative Stones: Created by the Whitehaven Heritage Action Group, these stones further acknowledge and celebrate the area's unique history.
