The project involved the construction of a new build three storey Deployment Centre, complete with associated site works located within the Carlton Hall Police and Fire Service site. The development consisted of a two-storey structure which adjoined a three-storey structure. The latter provided Police operational areas to the ground floor and cadet accommodation and support facilities to the upper floors. The ‘front’ two storey building comprised police operational areas with conference facilities to the second floor.

  • Substantial earthworks, excavation, drainage, formwork, reinforcement and concreting of foundations.
  • Beco formwork retaining wall system constructed into the sloping hillside.
  • External cladding with natural timbers of oak, larch and cedar.
  • Bespoke facetted, triple glazed oak framed windows with oak brise soleil.
  • Specialist green planted roofing.
  • Creation of performance, therapy and meeting room pods.
  • Internal finishes of oak panelling and solid oak flooring.

  • Winner of Best Small Commercial Building at the Northern LABC Building Excellence Awards 2017.
  • The project was delivered with zero reportable Health & Safety incidents.
  • The project was delivered with zero environmental incidents.
  • A number of successful visits from the Client’s donors and the charities beneficiaries took place during the works.
