Transforming the Heart of Whitehaven’s Historic Centre
This public realm scheme in Whitehaven focused on enhancing the town’s central spaces along Market Place and Duke Street. Thomas Armstrong (Construction) Ltd was appointed to carry out full replacement and refurbishment works to the paving, introduce new street furniture, and deliver landscaping improvements that would modernise and revitalise the area for local residents and visitors.
As part of the works, we sympathetically restored the historic bandstand and architectural elements such as decorative posts and bollards, retaining the character of the area while improving functionality and accessibility.

Project Achievements
